The Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

Established by the Amiri Decision No. 37 in the year 2001, The Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment (SCEAI) of Qatar is a paramount institution that oversees the economic development and investment strategies in the State of Qatar. Under the esteemed chairmanship of His Highness the Emir of Qatar, the Council's primary mission is defined in Article 5 of the Amiri Decision. This mission encompasses the development, investment, and management of the State reserve funds, as well as other properties assigned to it by the Supreme Council. The Council operates in accordance with policies, plans, and programmes approved by the Supreme Council, thereby ensuring a strategic approach towards achieving Qatar's economic objectives.
